Cenger is a calm stretch of coast between Manavgat and Alanya, lined with resort hotels along the shore. Away from the crowds of Side, with the Alara River valley and the Seljuk-era Alara Han behind it, it is a place chosen by those who want a restful holiday in the comfort of a resort. The road of about 90 kilometres from Antalya Airport (AYT) to Cenger is covered with a driver waiting for you with your name on a sign, with no detours, at a fixed price; we drop you not on the main road, but right at your hotel door.
See Your Web-Only PriceWhat Kind of Place Is Cenger?
Cenger, though administratively part of Manavgat, is close to Alanya, on the coastal strip between Side and Alanya. What sets it apart from lively towns like central Side is that life here is largely built around the resort hotels along the shore; with their large gardens and the long beach, it is quite common here to see families out for an evening walk along the seafront.
Days here usually pass in the triangle of hotel, pool and sea; toward evening, many guests head out for a short trip to the Alara River or Alara Han. When you book your Cenger transfer in advance, you cover the road from the airport to this calm coast in one go, without transfers.
What Is a Holiday in Cenger Like?
A holiday in Cenger is largely built around resort hotel life. Large pools, beachfront sands, evening entertainment and all-inclusive concepts make it possible, especially for families with children, to fill the day without leaving the hotel. The shore is long; there is plenty of room for a morning walk or to sit by the sea in the cool of the evening.
Getting to know the area fits in between the days at the hotel. Many guests spend the day at the hotel and prefer a short trip toward Alara Han in the evening, or set aside a day midweek for Side ancient city or Manavgat Waterfall. Whether you stay at the hotel or explore around, we take you to every spot at a fixed price, in a private car.
Alara Han and Alara Castle
Alara Han
In the valley behind Cenger lies a historical treasure that sets Cenger apart from an ordinary stretch of coast: Alara Han. Built in 1231 by the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I as the first stop on the Alanya–Konya caravan road, this caravanserai still stands today with its two-thousand-square-metre cut-stone structure, its mosque, bath and fountain. On the bank of the Alara River, this stop was a shelter where caravans spent the night safely on the Silk Road.
Alara Castle
Right near the Han, on a steep rocky hilltop rising about one hundred and fifty metres above the Alara River, stands Alara Castle. Built to guard the caravan road, the castle is reached by a path through tunnels carved into the rock; from the top, the Alara River valley and the plain stretching to the sea are seen from above. For those who love history and a view together, it is the most striking stop around Cenger.
The Alara River
The Alara River, which gives the Han and castle their name, is a cool stream running down from the Taurus Mountains to the Mediterranean. People picnic on its banks and join canoe and river-boat tours; in the stifling summer heat, this valley in the shade of the pines is a loved place to escape the heat of the shore.
Planning the Long Road to Cenger
Going to resorts spread along the shore can tire the start of the holiday if poorly planned:
- Mistake: Waiting on a shared shuttle all the way to the hotel. Fix: Instead of a shared van stopping at every hotel between Manavgat and Alanya road, go directly to your hotel in your own car.
- Mistake: Getting off on the main road and trying to reach the hotel yourself. Fix: Facilities in Cenger can be set back from the main road; we drop you not on the road, but at your hotel door.
- Mistake: Trying to squeeze seven people into one sedan. Fix: With a spacious Mercedes Sprinter, everyone and all the suitcases fit comfortably; one child seat is free, extra seats at a fair charge.
Antalya Airport – Cenger: Distance and Time
The distance between Antalya Airport and Cenger is about 90 kilometres, and the drive averages 1 hour 20 minutes. For anyone asking how far Cenger is from Antalya airport and how long the transfer takes: about 90 km and one hour twenty from AYT, or roughly an hour from Gazipasa (GZP). Cenger is east of the airport, past Side toward Alanya, neighbouring Okurcalar and Kizilot; about twenty kilometres from Side. Where shared shuttles stretch this route to three hours with stops, your private, door-to-door transfer goes direct with meet and greet and flight monitoring; if your flight is delayed your driver waits at no extra cost, and you pay the driver on arrival.
After the exit, a route mostly along the motorway and coast road awaits you, with sea views now and then. Going directly, you are at your hotel in Cenger about an hour and a half after the airport; in a shared shuttle, that time easily stretches with the stops in between.
The Gazipasa Airport Alternative
A little-known advantage of Cenger is that it is close to two airports at once. Besides Antalya Airport, Gazipasa Airport (GZP) on the Alanya side is also about 70 kilometres, one hour away. Some Northern European and charter flights land at Gazipasa; if your ticket lands there, the road is a little shorter than to Antalya. We take you from either airport at a fixed price, straight to your hotel door, whether you land at Antalya (AYT) or Gazipasa (GZP).
Our Vehicles and the Comfort of the Ride
Cenger's resorts sit back from the main road in wide gardens, so it matters that the vehicle is both comfortable and able to reach the hotel entrance itself. We match the fleet to your group size and luggage and drop you at the resort door, not on the highway. For a couple or small family, the Mercedes Vito Maybach First Class or Vito Business Class offers comfortable seating for up to 5; for a larger family or group, the Mercedes Sprinter Group Comfort and Group Business provide a roomy interior and plenty of luggage space for up to 13.
Our vehicles offer free Wi-Fi, water and a one child seat; with air conditioning and a spacious interior, on the long road it becomes a ride where your child can sleep comfortably while you travel rested. Just note the baby seat, child seat or booster you need when booking.
Places to Visit Around Cenger
Water Planet and Resort Fun
One of the area's most loved spots for families with children is Water Planet Aquapark, famous for its slides; it is a short distance from the resorts around Cenger. Nearby Okurcalar and Kizilot are part of the same calm coastal corridor, with their wide beaches and facilities.
Alara Grand Bazaar
For those who love shopping, the area's known stop is Alara Grand Bazaar on the D400 coast road. In the centre of Okurcalar, this covered bazaar, considered the largest between Antalya and Alanya, lines up leather, textiles, souvenirs, jewellery and local products side by side. Being a short distance from the resorts in Cenger, many guests stop here at least once during their holiday.
The Okurcalar–Cenger Coastline
Cenger is not a single point but part of the calm coastal corridor stretching from Side to Alanya. Right beside it, Okurcalar, with its wide sandy beach and large holiday villages, is the centre of this stretch; a little inland, Orensehir around the Alara Bazaar is part of the same area too. The shore running along the Cenger and Okurcalar beaches is good for a morning walk and long seaside strolls. In this way Cenger sits equally close to the Manavgat–Side area and to Alanya, right between the two.
Side, Manavgat and Nature
To the west, Side Ancient City and the Temple of Apollo, Manavgat Waterfall and the Manavgat River, famous for boat tours, are a short trip away; a little further, Koprulu Canyon for rafting. To the east, Alanya Castle, the Red Tower and its bazaar; since Cenger is about forty minutes from Alanya, you can easily explore both sides. We drive you privately to the door across Cenger and its neighbours with the same comfort.
How to Get from the Airport to Cenger
There are several ways to reach Cenger, but they don't all give the same comfort:
- Private VIP transfer: Straight to your hotel door, no waiting, fixed price. The most comfortable choice on a long road (~1h 20min). True door-to-door service — from the arrivals gate straight to your hotel entrance.
- Shared shuttle (other companies): It looks cheap, but other operators' shared shuttles stop at hotels along the coast road and can drag the journey out to three hours. We do not run shared shuttles; we offer only your own private VIP transfer.
- Taxi: Available, but the taxi fare climbs on the meter over this long road and haggling is tiring; our fixed price is set upfront and is often the cheaper choice.
- Public transport: First to the Manavgat or Alanya bus station, then by minibus; hard for a family with luggage and children.
Whether you search for a Cenger hotel transfer, a Side–Cenger transfer or a Manavgat–Cenger transfer, they describe the same journey. We take you straight to the door of every hotel in Cenger, at a fixed price.

Our reviews are on independent platforms — see for yourself.
If you have travelled with us, we would be grateful for a short review — it helps the guests who come after you.
Most of our guests book both the airport–hotel and the return journey together. For Cenger you can arrange a return transfer in a single booking and set your departure pickup time in advance.
After a long flight you won't search the crowd for a driver: our airport greeter waits at the exit holding a name sign with your name and walks you straight to your vehicle to the vehicle for your Cenger transfer.
Return Transfer from Cenger to the Airport
When the holiday ends, the way back should feel just as easy. Our Cenger airport transfer works both ways: on departure day your driver picks you up at the hotel door and calculates the pickup time from your flight and that day's traffic on the coast road, so you neither wait too early nor run late. We plan the departure time separately depending on whether you fly from Antalya (AYT) or Gazipasa (GZP). There is no need to call a separate company for the hotel to airport leg.
The round trip is arranged in a single booking — one WhatsApp message is enough. The same fixed price and the same no-prepayment terms apply on the way back; you pay the driver in the vehicle. We ask for no money upfront and no card details. You pay the driver at the end of the ride, once you're happy with the service — so you never worry "did I lose my money?", the risk is not on you. Even on a late-night landing there is no night surcharge, and your driver waits with a name sign.
